The Welsh Highland Railway has been restored and re-opened for the 13 miles from Caernarfon to Rhyd Ddu at the foot of Snowdon. Funding has now been approved to restore the line from Rhyd Ddu, through Beddgelert all the way to Porthmadog. The target completion date is 2009. Wonder how long the journey from Campbell's to Caernarfon will take?
